LAS MEJORES UNIVERSIDADES DE IBEROAMÉRICA

La universidad de Sao Paulo y la Católica de Chile están consideradas las mejores de Iberoamérica, según el ranking Mundial QS de 2012, donde aparecen cuatro instituciones chilenas y tres brasileñas entre las diez primeras.

Las cuatro chilenas son, además, la Universidad de Chile, en cuarto lugar, la Universidad de Concepción, situada en la posición novena, y la de Santiago de Chile, en el décimo puesto.

Las otras brasileñas son la Estadual de Campinas, que ocupa el tercer lugar, y la Federal de Río de Janeiro, en el octavo.

México sitúa a la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (Unam), en la quinta posición, y el Tecnológico de Monterrey (Itesm), en la séptima.

Colombia, en sexto lugar con la Universidad de los Andes, completa el listado de los diez mejores centros de Latinoamérica.

Continúan la lista la Universidad de Buenos Aires (undécima); Universidad Nacional de Colombia (en el décimo segundo puesto), Universidad Federal de Minas Gerais (la décimo tercera), la Universidad Federal do Rio Grandes Do Sul (décimo cuarta) y la Universidad Federal de Sao Paulo (en el décimo quinto lugar).

Cierran las primeras veinte el Instituto Politécnico Nacional -de México- (16), la Universidad de Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho (17), la Pontificia Universidad Católica do Río de Janeiro (18), el Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (19) y la Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina Santa María de los Buenos Aires (20).
